When each ear hears a slightly different frequency, your brain perceives a rhythmic pulse at the difference between them. Play 100 Hz in your left ear and 110 Hz in your right, and your brain locks onto a 10 Hz alpha beat — even though that frequency was never actually played. This is why headphones are essential.
Research has shown these frequencies to be helpful…
δ Delta (~2 Hz) — Deep sleep &
recovery
θ Theta (~6 Hz) — Deep meditation,
intuition
α Alpha (~10 Hz) — Calm focus, relaxed
creativity
β Beta (~20 Hz) — Alert, active,
energised thinking
γ Gamma (~40 Hz) — Peak focus &
cognitive performance
Brown noise (Ocean) is deeper and rumbly, preferred by many for deep work and relaxation. Pink noise (Rain) is the most natural-sounding — similar to rainfall or wind — and is the most popular for focus and sleep. White noise (Wind) is brighter and great for masking distractions.
T is the Tuner: set your own sound, as long as you like. P is Programs: timed sessions that run themselves, then fade out.
These are just starting points — the right mix shifts day to day and person to person, so experiment, tune into how your brain responds, and save what works in your Presets.
You do not need high volume for this to work. Binaural beats are most effective at a comfortable, gentle level — typically 15–40%. Louder is not better. Stop immediately if you experience any headaches, dizziness, or discomfort.
